[SPONSORED] THE SINS AND SICKNESS OF THE FLESH

It is needful to note that fallen sick is a common occurrence to life thus we have to understand the functions of our body as to keep it in condition that will glorify God.
The scripture in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 states thus:
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Cor 6:19-20 KJV.
When God created man, He made him in His own nature. But man got deceived and fell into the sin of disobedience and came short of the glory of God. God who so loved the world then sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to pay the price for our sins thus redeemed us from the hands of the devil. Here the scripture reveals that having been bought with the price of His precious blood we are under obligation to glorify God in our bodies and spirit. We must keep our body and spirit clean to honor God. God is dishonored when they are defiled in so beastly a sin. Therefore the scripture instructs us to flee fornication and every sin of the flesh and use our bodies for the glory of God.
The scripture in 1Corinthians 3:16-17 states thus:
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
1 Cor 3:16-17KJV
As believers we must know that our body has become the temple and dwelling place of the Holy Spirit whom we received from God at new birth.  Our body as the temple of God should be kept exclusively for holy use only thus set apart for God’s service. God has warned that anyone who defiles His temple will suffer the doom and destruction of his body. This destruction of the organs of our body attract sicknesses and death. Therefore we must know what attitude we should take towards sickness, know how to avoid it or recover from it and get healed.
The scripture reveals a close relationship between sickness and sin. It stated in Romans 6:23 that the ultimate consequence of sin is death.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom 6:23KJV
Sickness lies between sin and death. The gradual failure of the normal functioning of our body organs gives rise to it.  If there were no sin in the world, there would be neither sickness nor death. If Adam had walked in obedience to God’s command, sickness would not have come upon the entire world. Thus we can rightly state that sickness was ushered in by sin.
God created man as a living soul: that is his spirit, soul and body were all aligned to God’s dictates. Immediately man fell into sin, his spirit and soul died and could not communicate with God. The life of God within his spirit could not have access to the soul and body thus the body was invaded by sickness as an evidence of doom and destruction. The sin of the spirit and soul of man with the sickness that follows in his body degenerates to death.
When Our Lord Jesus Christ came to save us from sin, He did not only forgave us our sins but also healed our bodies. Thus our soul is not only redeemed from the powers of the devil but our bodies from sicknesses and diseases. At the onset of His ministry on earth the scripture reported many sicknesses and infirmities were healed. Judging both by what He Himself did and by the command He gave His disciples we can conclude that the Salvation He provides for us includes the healing of our sick bodies. The gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ is the gospel of forgiveness of our sins and healing of our bodies. In the ministry of Christ on earth we read how healing and forgiveness of sins ran parallel to each other...............
