ASABA—FORMER member representing Ughelli South constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Olorogun Taleb Tebite, has described the SMART agenda of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration as a job creation tool for the unemployed youths in the state.
Tebite, yesterday, while addressing some Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, members who paid him a courtesy visit in his Asaba residence, noted that the Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme, YAGEP and the Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme, STEP of the state government have created jobs for many youths and women, adding that the youths were being positioned well for the future.
According to Tebite, Dmatrixnews learned that the “Governor Okowa is a grassroots politician, who is acquainted with the needs of Deltans across all ages, local government and senatorial districts.
“Dr Okowa is a man that started his political career as a local government council secretary, later became a council chairman, Commissioner, Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Senator and now governor.”
Saying that Okowa was also doing well in the area of infrastructure despite the current economic crunches, he urged the people of the state across political divide to rally round him to enable him deliver on his campaign promises.
