God performed the first marriage ceremony at the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve were joined together as one in flesh. They were both Living souls. After this great event God instituted a standard in marriage stating thus in Genesis 2:24:
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Gen 2:24 KJV
God placed man as the head of the Home and the woman, the bone of his bones and the flesh of his flesh as his helper. No successful and happy marriage can be achieved when we violate God’s plain command in marriage for a peaceful and sweet Home. When a man disobeys God’s instructions and fails to take up his responsibility as the head of his Home there is bound to be some serious problems.
God has made the woman of finer qualities than the man in that she has so much love and affection engraved in her to dispense if only she got into a compatible relationship with her husband. The woman’s ability is unquestionably and gladly admitted as stronger compared to that of man. She manifests no inferior genius, way of life, dexterity and verbal communication.
The spirit of incompatibility attracts disaster, headache and ruin in a Home where the woman is rebellious and the husband a slacker of responsibility. We wish to emphasize here that when a woman fails to work in the guidelines of God’s command and usurps the authority of her husband which God forbade her, sin reigns in that Home. The wages of sin is death to joy, peace and happiness thus love develop wings and disappears into thin air.
We have witnessed many families that are struggling to live together. They have no aid from the Holy Spirit because they did not make the right choice of partner thus they are not compatible. They neglect their Homes for unnecessary outside commitments thus fail in their God-given responsibilities towards each other and to a greater extent the care of their children.
These children who are not nurtured in the fear of God turn out to be corrupted by worldliness; being uncared for, they became unruly, undisciplined and disorderly as they find themselves exposed to bad peer groups who equally introduce them to bad habits and vices. Many of such families and broken Homes are therefore breeding grounds for irresponsible and corrupt citizens turned out into our societies.
These youths become polluted in their minds believing that nobody cares and as such opportunities that come their way are often grabbed and selfishly stored for themselves alone having imbibed the insatiable hunger for what does not rightly belong to them. These ones being full of moral decadence grow to become corrupt adults who by all means force themselves to the top to defraud the government of huge sums of money. They also ensure that they lift their friends into these same high and lofty positions to protect their interest. The source of all these local and international corrupt practices is the family unit therefore the government should trace these corrupt persons to their families and disgrace these ones alongside their families to stop these corrupt practices in our societies.
