The Niger State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Jonathan Vatsa, said the state had partnered the Canadian Government to promote culture and tourism in the state.
He said that it was the desire of the state to harness its potentials in the culture and tourism sector so as to generate revenue and deliver quality service to the people.
Vatsa told DMN that the partnership would help promote the state’s culture abroad and attract visitors into the country.
Meanwhile, the Director, Ijovudu Dance International, Mr. Sani Mohammed, said the group was working with the Niger State Council of Arts and Culture to attract tourists into the state.
He further said that the group would organise a festival of African and Caribbean fashion to promote local fabrics.
