But the centre-back was with his United teammates at their team hotel on Friday, indicating that he could be making his first start in a month.
Also spotted alongside Bailly was Phil Jones, who was forced off in the first half of United’s 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield last Saturday.

Jones made the bench for the 2-0 win over Swansea City in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday and although he did not play, Mourinho insists the England defender is ready to face Tottenham in Saturday’s early kick-off at Old Trafford.
‘Jones is good, he was on the bench Tuesday, no need to play but he was ready so he’s really ready,’ Mourinho said on Friday.
‘Eric let’s see.
‘One more training session but he’s the only one from the injured group that can be ready tomorrow.’
